Masters the use of c-arm fluoroscopy and the surgical procedures it is used for. Functions in all traditional duties of an Imaging Technologist - Utilizes radiographic techniques under the direction of the Physician, to obtain diagnostic/operative images for the surgical procedure.

Job Summary Provides technical support to the Pathologists by: performing high volume, repetitive  procedures in anatomical pathology; receiving specimens and requisitions; maintaining and operating highly technical automated instrumentation; responds to phone/verbal requests by the Pathologists according to standard operating procedures and performing clerical / computer duties as required. The Department Assistant is the first person the patient sees and, therefore, must present a caring and friendly attitude. He/she answers the telephone and relays messages to appropriate  departments or personnel.  The Department Assistant is capable of using the computer software to input patient and billing information.  The Department Assistant is responsible for the collection of any monies and the posting of such to the correct patient account.  Perform opening an closing procedures of the facility as scheduled.
