Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered/directed; according to established practices and procedures Operates X-Ray Equipment to make radiographs of designated anatomical area.  Responsibilities include knowledge of all x-ray equipment, proper patient positioning, exposures, digital image management for interpretations, implementation of patient charges, and assists physician as required. Maintains established standards of care, policies, objective, and goals in administering professional nursing care to all patients. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.

The Diabetes Educator identifies patient needs and priorities for education used on assessment. Patient population includes those from small children to the elderly. The educator plans, implements and evaluates all programs and services administered by the Diabetes Control Center. The educator coordinates the educational care between other professional disciplines as needed.

Acts as collaborative member of the clinical team in providing continuity of and quality patient care. Responsible for registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and answering of telephone. Initiates patient care assessments, gathers vital signs, prepares patient and exam room for procedures, and collects specimens.  Provides patient education and support as needed to assist physician, patient and family.  Returns patient phone calls.
