Also acts as lead clinician in assistance to provider and/or as dedicated telephone assistant and also provides clinical oversight for the clinical employees of the clinic.

Provides terminal cleaning, packaging, sterilization and distribution of surgical instruments and supplies.  Records sterilization process according to hospital policy.

The Robotic Scrub Assistant, under the guidance of the Operating Surgeon, and RN, provides services to surgical patients, maintaining an aseptic environment.  The Robotic Scrub Assistant functions in all traditional duties of a scrub assistant as well as the scrub assistant for robotic surgery, in all areas (facilities) that a robot is utilized.

Provides technical support to the lab by receiving/processing requisitions/specimens and ordering specified lab tests according to standard operating procedures.  Responds to phone requests and enters lab test data into computer.

This role integrates and coordinates Utilization management, care coordination and discharge planning functions. The Case Manager is accountable for a designated patient caseload and plans effectively in order to meet patient needs, manage the length of stay, and promote efficient use of resources.
