Under the direction of a physician, administers various sleep studies in order to diagnose the type and extent of sleep disorders. Performs all functions in relationship to preparing all foods for meal service for patients and cafeteria. This includes breakfast, lunch, supper, all meats, vegetables, modified diets, special functions and any other food items as directed.

Responsible for maintaining a line of communication between individuals in the waiting rooms and in the clinical areas within Emergency Services. Provide support and crisis management in trauma situations for families and patients. The registered nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care using the nursing processes of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care. Also directs and guides patient care activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Cooperates and communicates well with all health team members to maintain the highest quality patient care.

The Clinical Charge Nurse identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning and delegating care based on patient needs. Executes therapeutic physician orders and therapeutic nursing interventions. Evaluates the patient's response to care and the attainment of or progress towards patient outcomes. Coordinates care between other professional disciplines as needed. Helps patients and/or staff identify problems and explores with them the alternative choices and outcomes.
