Facilitates communication between patients, staff and physicians. Schedules hospital outpatient procedures and admissions in a timely and efficient manner. Performs patient check out procedures, schedules follow up and/or referral visits and collects deductibles and co-pays. Provides clerical support and maintains systematic initiation and follow up of scheduled events.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting for long periods of time, also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, operate a calculator, telephone, copier and such other office equipment as necessary. Requires ability to view terminal for long periods of time without eyestrain or stress. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for long periods and to work in an environment which can be very stressful.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an office environment. Involves frequent contact with patients. Work may be stressful at times. Interaction with others is constant and interruptive.
The Nursing Student works as a Patient Care Aide until Apprentice Certification is obtained. The responsibilities of the Nursing Student include providing direct patient care and maintaining patient care standards. The Nursing Student must exhibit the ability to work with people form diverse socio-economic backgrounds; to organize, set priorities and manage multiple priorities, and to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
The Huntsville Hospital Pharmacy Technician Training Program is a 10-week paid training program designed to equip graduates with the knowledge and skills to be a successful pharmacy technician. The program's goal is to develop career pharmacy technicians who assist pharmacists in providing optimal drug therapy for patients. The program is partnered with TRC's Pharmacy Technicians University, who will award a certificate of completion to those who meet all educational objectives. Educational activities include online modules by Pharmacy Technicians University, activities related to the course content conducted across the HH campus, and practical training in the area in which you will be working, including inpatient care at Huntsville Hospital Main or Women's & Children's, Sterile Products, Outpatient Prescription Processing, Mail Order, and Transitions of Care.
A Warehouse Specialist is and entry level position responsible for performing a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of products under direct supervision of team leads and supervisors. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. or any other warehouse related assignments.
Prepares patients for surgery by performing diagnostic test required by the surgeon and anesthesiologist, documenting past medical/surgical history and current home medications and reporting abnormal results to the appropriate person (surgeon, nurse practitioner, anesthesia evaluator, etc.). The pre-admission RN also prepares patients for the cath lab and other hospital admissions.

The RN executes therapeutic physician orders and therapeutic nursing interventions. The RN evaluates the patient's response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.

generates reports as required.
The Registered Nurse (RN) organizes and coordinates delivery of nursing care to groups of patients in compliance with hospital and departmental policies, protocols and procedures. This health care professional is a physician assistant (PA) or nurse practitioner (NP) on the neurosurgery team of the Spine and Neuro department at Huntsville Hospital whose primary function is the co-management of patients (i.e., their diagnosis and treatment) under the supervision of the neurosurgical physicians within the recognized standards of practice in the clinic.
The registered nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care using the nursing processes of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care. Also directs and guides patient care activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. These duties include, but are not limited to, obtaining EKG’s, venipuncture, RSI, Surgical Airways, Chest Tube insertion and maintenance, Invasive Line Monitoring, expanded pharmacology scope, Ventilator initiation and management. Perform Critical Care and Specialty Care Transports.
