The neonatal ICU equipment tech. is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all equipment within the neonatal ICU. The equipment tech. must have a complete understanding of the process of breaking down each piece of equipment (warmer, isolette, crib, scales, monitors, pumps) and cleaning completely from inside to outside. The equipment tech must be able to put up stock and place stock inside the unit when supply tech is off. The supply tech. must be able to communicate well and have good work ethics in relation to the nurses and others she/he comes in contact with. The equipment tech must have understanding of the equipment that goes to central/sterile and the preparation of these items.

Performs coding/DRG and abstracting functions for medical records, quality assessment and billing purposes. Codes all Huntsville Hospital medical records with ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4 codes. Abstracts key data elements according to medical record review criteria. Performs coding quality assurance as needed.
Monitors gym area and assists clients on exercise equipment. Assists in exercise testing and client orientation.
