Disseminate paperwork appropriately and timely. Receive incoming telephone calls, answer questions and route to appropriate person or take a detailed message. Schedule patient appointments and accept/process payments from patients.
The Patient Care Aide (PCA) works under the direction of the RN/LPN. The responsibilities of the Patient Care Aide include providing direct patient care and maintaining patient care standards. The Patient Care Aide must exhibit the ability to work with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds; to organize, set priorities and manage multiple priorities, and to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Pediatrics is a 38 bed medical surgical floor located within Women and Children’s Hospital. Our nurses focus on the medical needs and treatment of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults up to 21 years of age. Their specialized training allows them to provide their patients and families with age appropriate emotional support and medical care. Our nurses are part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Pediatric Hospitalists, Nurse Practitioners, Residents, Physical Therapists, Respiratory Therapists, Pharmacists, Dieticians, Social Workers and Child Life Therapy.
