Overview

Job Summary 

 

Directs and coordinates activities of Biomedical Maintenance staff in the repair, maintenance, and efficient operation of utilities and various mechanical, electrical and other systems and equipment located throughout the facility to provide a safe and comfortable environment for the patients and staff of Huntsville Hospital.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

Education: HS/GED with Associates degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in electrical or mechanical fields preferred.

Experience: Requires five years experience in the biomedical supervision field.

Additional Skills:

  1. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  2. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  3. Possess a working knowledge of codes, standards and ordinances with the ability to make practical interpretation and application in the physical environment and daily maintenance operations.
  4. Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record.
