Greets the public, patients, and families. Obtains and enters demographic and financial information for all patient types. Handles all customer service issues in a customer friendly manner. Accurately listens and responds appropriately to address and resolve issues at hand. Must ensure all paperwork is checked for accuracy. Must continually enhance knowledge regarding processes in order to train new hires and existing employees. Should show initiative in process improvement. Must collect required fees from patients or authorized representatives. Responsible for daily operations. Must be flexible to work as scheduled or needed, which may include alternate shifts, weekends, holidays, and being on call. 

Acts as collaborative member of the clinic team in providing continuity of and quality patient care. Responsible for the day to day operations of a physician clinic, to include the effective management of clinical systems, human resources, financial and environmental management. Coordinates activities of the front office for scheduling patient office visits, procedures and tests with proficiency and compliance. Inputs patient data for claims. Provides secretarial support for physicians and administrative staff. Promotes collaborative practice with other departments within the organization, providers and clinics, always exhibiting the ability to work with others to find solutions to difficult human, technical or administrative problems

Maintains established standards of care, policies, objective, and goals in administering professional nursing care to all patients needing Emergency Services.

This position assists EVS team in maintaining a high quality standard of housekeeping service by performing daily cleaning/restocking patient rooms, nursing stations, restrooms, offices and other assigned areas in accordance with established procedures of the department and Helen Keller Hospital. Aides are expected to display a courteous, friendly and professional attitude toward our customers at all times.

Performs a variety of routine duties in the cafeteria related to the preparation and serving of patient food.

The RN identifies patient’s needs and priorities for care through assessment.  The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs.  The RN executes therapeutic physician orders and therapeutic nursing interventions.  The RN/Pediatric evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes.  The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift. The RN will report to charge nurse and will contact physician as needed to report changes in condition, lab values, social issues, or any issue which may negatively affect patient care and/or condition of neonate.

Admits patients, which includes interviewing, preparing admitting forms, and assigning rooms. Receives all faxed documentation from outside the facility and verifies accuracy and Medical Necessity before attaching to patient accounts.

Requires continuous auditory and visual attention to PBX and Nurse Call. The primary responsibility of the Communications Representative is to answer, screen and process all PBX calls and Nurse Call from patients, staff and the general public and dispatch or transfer in a prompt, accurate and courteous manner to the appropriate party or department.

Performs patient check out procedures, schedules follow up and/or referral visits and collects deductibles and co-pays.  Assists physicians and resident physicians when completing physical examinations.  Obtains laboratory specimens and prepares them for transport. Provides clerical support and maintains systematic initiation and follow up of scheduled events.

A clinical specialist is able to perform all tasks of a clinical pharmacy (see Job Code 4473). Additionally, clinical specialists are responsible for developing a practice in their area of specialty, including a strong relationship with the associated nursing unit(s)/department(s). Clinical specialists are expected to identify, implement, and monitor projects and programs proactively; participate in the hospital's MUE program; precept residents and students; and otherwise further the hospital's mission of serving its patients and becoming nationally recognized for clinical and service excellence. Requirements include a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and residency training (or demonstrated equivalent clinical experience). Excellent communication, organization, selfdirection, and prioritization skills are required.

The Hospitality Assistant is responsible for delivering and retrieving patient meal trays, providing individualized assistance to each patient, Hospitality Rounds and nourishment services.

Performs all functions in relationship to preparing all foods for meal service for patients and cafeteria.  This includes breakfast, lunch, supper, all meats, vegetables, modified diets, special functions and any other food items as directed.

Performs all cashier duties such as being courteous, totaling sales, and providing correct change. Must follow all cashier policies and guidelines daily by maintaining the register keeping it locked at all times. Additional duties may apply such as stocking condiments, cleaning, serving and prepping occasionally. Follows established practices and procedures for patient identification and service. 

Utilizes radiographic techniques to obtain diagnostic images.

The housekeeper (EVS Tech) primarily cleans, dusts, polishes furniture, disinfects hospital facilities, including patient and non-patient care areas, removes refuse materials and hazardous waste, moves furniture and equipment while restocking supplies within all facilities of the hospital.
