The registered nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care using the nursing processes of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care. Also directs and guides patient care activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Cooperates and communicates well with all health team members to maintain the highest quality patient care.
A registered nurse provides and coordinates total nursing care for patients maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting and pursuant to the objectives and policies of the Nursing Care Division and Medical Center policies and procedures.
Responsible for the performance of a variety of tasks and services to assure patient is meeting third party payor requirements or Medical Staff approved criteria for hospital admission, continued stay or performance reviews. Assist with daily activities as needed related to the over-all operation of the Quality Management Department and the Medical Center.
CRNA practice includes pre-anesthetic evaluation and preparation, anesthesia induction, maintenance and emergence, post-anesthetic care, pain management and responding to emergency situations related to airway management and cardiac life support techniques. The CRNA cares for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management.
Performs Radiology procedures in accordance with policies and standards in effect for the Radiology Department. Cooperates and works effectively with fellow Radiology employees and other members of the healthcare team. Exemplifies professionalism in working with all outside health agencies, physicians offices and outpatients. Prepares and maintains patient records.

The Alternate Transport Service (ATS)- Driver is responsible for the operation of the non-medical transportation vehicle and the transportation of wheelchair bound patients. The Registered Nurse (RN) will be part of a 6-week or longer as need determines Internship Program. The RN will orient on each unit doing three 12- hour shifts until rotating through the specific Service Line (SL) units. The individual and mentor will work together to care for patients and develop a nursing foundation and skills necessary for positive patient outcomes.
