The Patient Care Aide(PCA) works under the direction of the RN/LPN. The responsibilities of the Patient Care Aide include providing direct patient care and maintaining patient care standards. The Patient Care Aide must exhibit the ability to work with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds; to organize, set priorities and manage multiple priorities, and to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Performs Radiology procedures in accordance with policies and standards in effect for the Radiology Department. Cooperates and works effectively with fellow Radiology employees and other members of the healthcare team. Exemplifies professionalism in working with all outside health agencies, physicians offices and outpatients. Prepares and maintains patient records.
Utilizes radiographic techniques to obtain diagnostic images.
Performed the essential functions of a Cardiovascular Technician I and II. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, operation of advanced diagnostic and interventional equipment; participation in the training and supervision of other Cardiovascular Techs; and participation in the evaluation, learning and/or teaching of new technologies as required. Works in or around radioactive areas. Administers medications as prescribed and under the supervision of a physician. These medications include, but are not limited to, adenosine, Dobutamine, regadenoson, atropine, Aminophylline, nitroglycerine, metoclopramide, heparin and sodium chloride.
Serves as a greeter at various hospital departments and facilities. Responsible for observing, monitoring, and reporting activities at HH Health System. Responsible for constant monitoring of visitors for Safety & Security rules compliance and immediate violence de-escalation when needed. Reports all incidents and violations immediately and submits a written report to security management.
Responsible for collaborating with the IT Security Team, Technical Services Team(s) and the CIO in supporting the defined security requirements and maintaining relevant policies for Huntsville Hospital Information Technology. Responsibilities also include the implementation and ongoing support of the security profiles defined by the team. As the IT Security Administrator, responsibilities include but are not limited to providing support, guidance, and tracking of security log and related events. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit is an 11 bed ICU that cares for critically ill children at Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children’s. The PICU is staffed by RNs, NPs, and Pediatric Intensivist who work closely together with a supportive multidisciplinary care team to provide acute care to children from 0-18 years of age.
