Women and Children’s Float Pool provides nursing and tech support to clinical areas within Women and Children’s Hospital. Our nurses focus on the medical needs and treatment of a broad range of ages from newborn to adults. A thorough orientation is provided on Mother/Baby, Pediatrics, PICU, Women’s surgery and RNICU. Each unit has yearly unit specific competencies that must be maintained by the Float Staff. Each unit provides individual education to meet the needs of their patient population. **A minimum of 2 years experience is required.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a broad array of nursing tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider. The individual provides direct patient care for diverse patient populations that vary in gender, age, socioeconomic status, education, physical and mental abilities, locations, sexual lifestyle, and racial and ethnic background. The LPN implements technical nursing procedures according to established policies and procedures and plan of care, assists and reinforces routine patient education, and documents patient care appropriately. The LPN communicates and interacts with other team members to facilitate teamwork and delivery of quality care.
The Housekeeper will be responsible for providing a clean, pleasant, well-stocked environment for patients, visitors, and personnel. Daily cleaning of patient rooms, check-out cleaning of patient rooms, cleaning non-patient nurse areas, clinical areas, service areas, and public service areas.
Provides technical support to the lab by receiving/processing requisitions/specimens and performing specified lab tests according to standard operating procedures and managing those specimens referred to outside laboratories for testing. Responds to phone requests and enters lab test data into computer. Cleans laboratory equipment and glassware. Exposed to hazardous environments the course of the work day.
Responsible for facilitating the improvement in the overall quality and completeness of medical record documentation. Obtain appropriate clinical documentation through extensive interaction with physicians, nursing, patient caregivers, and coders. To ensure that appropriate patient centered clinical data, quality metrics and reimbursement is received for the level of services rendered. That the clinical information utilized in profiling and reporting outcomes is complete and accurate. On a consistent basis the individual will maintain ongoing education relative to CDI/ACDIS/AHIMA and the Coding Clinic.

Educate staff on appropriate care for follow through by nursing. Educate staff on skin care, staging and prevention. Complete education through nationally accredited certification program within one year of hire date.

The RN Care Manager is to support the physician and interdisciplinary team in facilitating patient care, with the underlying objective of enhancing the quality of clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction while managing the cost of care and providing timely and accurate information to payers. This role integrates and coordinates Utilization management, care coordination and discharge planning functions. The Case Manager is accountable for a designated patient caseload and plans effectively in order to meet patient needs, manage the length of stay, and promote efficient use of resources.
The Scrub Assistant, under the guidance of the RN provides services to surgical patients, maintaining an aseptic environment. The scrub assistant assists in the transporting of patients.
Responsible for performing all types of CT scans and related activities in the Heart Center CT Dept.
The Network Support Technician Lead coordinates and monitors all duties of the Network Support Technicians in a leadership role. The Network Support Technician Lead is responsible for providing Huntsville Hospital users with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness of work orders. The Network Support Technician coordinates and monitors support for installation, upgrades and maintenance of all hardware and software in the LAN and WAN environment. Oversees preventative maintenance on all networked equipment. Troubleshoots and performs repairs when possible and coordinates vendor service as needed.
**This is a temporary experienced Cat Scan/MRI assignment**
Pay ranges from $60 to $75 depending on speciality and shift
Cat Scan or MRI Technologist day or night - Inflated Temp rate (Imaging)
The technologist's role is to utilize radiographic techniques to obtain diagnostic images.
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks (renewable once for a total of 26 weeks/year)
Assignment Type: Temp with Full Time hours (PRN Status). You will be considered an employee for a minimum of 13 Weeks.
Assignment Shifts: Day/Night shifts. Minimum of 40 hours per week for 13 weeks; Eligible for overtime. Not eligible for lump sum extra shift incentives, eligible for shift differentials.
