In partnership with the RN, the Psychiatric Tech provides direct care to patients (adolescents to elderly). Provides basic comfort measures, collects data to contribute to the plan of care and carries out interventions at the direction of the RN.
Acts as collaborative member of the clinical team in providing continuity of and quality patient care. Initiates patient care, gathers vital signs, prepares patient and exam room for procedures, and collects specimens. Provides patient education and support as needed to assist physician, patient and family. Assists coworkers and draws blood as needed.

The nurse practitioner provides comprehensive direct patient care and scholarly practice including obtaining comprehensive patient histories, performing complete physical examination, ordering and performing diagnostic testing and screening, diagnosing illness, prescribing both pharmacological and other treatments for patients, and providing health maintenance and promotion interventions such as patient and family education and counseling. Also, the NP assumes accountability for indirect care responsibilities, which support patient care including staff and student education, clinical research if applicable, program development, and quality improvement. Assists in clerical functions as necessary.
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides patient care for all age groups. The LPN performs technical nursing procedures according to established policies and procedures, assists and reinforces routine education plans, and documents patient care appropriately. The LPN communicates and interacts with other team members to facilitate teamwork and delivery of quality care.
The Endoscopy Tech works under the direction of the RN/LPN. The responsibilities include providing for direct patient care and maintaining patient care standards. The tech must demonstrate the ability to work with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds; to organize, set priorities and manage multiple tasks, and to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Provides professional nursing care for office patients following established standards and procedures.
