The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a broad array of nursing tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider. The individual provides direct patient care for diverse patient populations that vary in gender, age, socioeconomic status, education, physical and mental abilities, locations, sexual lifestyle, and racial and ethnic background. The LPN implements technical nursing procedures according to established policies and procedures and plan of care, assists and reinforces routine patient education, and documents patient care appropriately.  The LPN communicates and interacts with other team members to facilitate teamwork and delivery of quality care.

Under the direction of the physicians and clinical staff the Health Care Assistant supports the assigned unit by providing technical patient care services and support related to patients on the nursing unit. Acts as collaborative member of the clinical team in providing continuity of and quality patient care. Responsible for registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and answering of telephone. Initiates patient care assessments, gathers vital signs, prepares patient and exam room for procedures, and collects specimens.  Provides patient education and support as needed to assist physician, patient and family.  Returns patient phone calls.

The Advanced Practice Provider (CRNP/PA) provides comprehensive direct patient care in collaboration with the attending physicians and multidisciplinary team. Prepares patients for surgery by performing diagnostic test required by the surgeon and anesthesiologist, documenting past medical/surgical history and current home medications and reporting abnormal results to the appropriate person (surgeon, nurse practitioner, anesthesia evaluator, etc.).  The pre-admission RN also prepares patients for the cath lab and other hospital admissions.

The Surgical Support Attendant works under the direction of the RN/Licensed Practical Nurse. The Attendant demonstrates the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds, to set and manage multiple priorities, and to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

The Scrub Assistant, under the guidance of the RN provides services to surgical patients, maintaining an aseptic environment. The scrub assistant assists in the transporting of patients.

Masters the use of c-arm fluoroscopy and the surgical procedures it is used for. Functions in all traditional duties of an Imaging Technologist - Utilizes radiographic techniques under the direction of the Physician, to obtain diagnostic/operative images for the surgical procedure.
