The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a broad array of nursing tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider. The individual provides direct patient care for diverse patient populations that vary in gender, age, socioeconomic status, education, physical and mental abilities, locations, sexual lifestyle, and racial and ethnic background. The LPN implements technical nursing procedures according to established policies and procedures and plan of care, assists and reinforces routine patient education, and documents patient care appropriately.  The LPN communicates and interacts with other team members to facilitate teamwork and delivery of quality care.

Responsible for the collection of patient account balances. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. The environmental services aide, primarily cleans, dusts, polishes furniture, disinfects hospital facilities, including patient and non-patient care areas, removes refuse materials and hazardous waste, moves furniture and equipment while restocking supplies within all facilities of the hospital.

Cooperates and communicates well with all health team members to maintain the highest quality patient care.

Under the direct supervision of licensed nurses, the Emergency Room Attendant performs various duties to assist in the care of patients in accordance with established policies and procedures. These duties include, but are not limited to, obtaining EKG's, venipuncture, ambulation assistance, toilet assistance, feeding, measuring vital signs and blood glucose, and transporting.
