The Paramedic performs a wide variety of patient care activities related to patients being treated and transported to the hospital by ambulance.  The EMT-Paramedic also performs the responsibilities of driving emergency vehicles providing due regard for the safety of others while operating the ambulance. The EMT-Paramedic performs patient care activities when attending to the patient in the patient compartment of the ambulance. The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) performs various care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.  He/she works under the supervision of a licensed nurse.  The PCA participates in the orientation and training of personnel.

Acts as collaborative member of the Working Fit Occupational Health team by providing quality patient care in accordance with established policies, objectives and goals.  Performs requested occupational health services, gathers vital signs, prepares patient and exam room for physicals or treatment of injury, and collects specimens.  Provides support as needed to assist physician.  Performs other duties as assigned.
