The Charge Capture Specialist I is responsible for the clerical support the surgery department by reviewing logging of surgical procedures, preparing patient charges, auditing records for accuracy, and maintaining records and preparing reports. Other responsibilities include assisting visitors, physicians, and staff as necessary, providing effective communication within the operating room, maintaining a safe, orderly office environment and assisting in the orientation of new secretarial staff.

Pediatric speech therapist position working with a dynamic multidisciplinary team, in outpatient and inpatient settings. With experience, opportunities may be available in specialty areas, including NICU. Responsibilities of the pediatric speech therapist include:
- Evaluations, re-evaluations and ongoing direct patient care with children from birth to 18 years
- Management of a highly diverse caseload including treatment of language, articulation, cognitive, feeding and swallowing disorders
- Coordination of care with other providers
Women and Children’s Float Pool provides nursing and tech support to clinical areas within Women and Children’s Hospital. Our nurses focus on the medical needs and treatment of a broad range of ages from newborn to adults. A thorough orientation is provided on Mother/Baby, Pediatrics, PICU, Women’s surgery and RNICU. Each unit has yearly unit specific competencies that must be maintained by the Float Staff. Each unit provides individual education to meet the needs of their patient population. **A minimum of 2 years experience is required.
The Occupational Therapist assumes primary responsibility for evaluation of the patient, planning, implementing, supervising, reevaluating and changing the treatment program. The therapist maintains adequate records and documents the appropriate progress reports and patient education. The therapist supervises support staff and students as assigned.
In partnership with the RN, the Psychiatric Tech provides direct care to patients (adolescents to elderly). Provides basic comfort measures, collects data to contribute to the plan of care and carries out interventions at the direction of the RN

Labor & Delivery at Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children is proud to be the highest delivering hospital in the state of Alabama as well as the regional referral center for North Alabama and southern Tennessee. We have 20 Labor Rooms, 3 dedicated OR suites as well as a newly renovated PACU. We have an 11 bed high risk Antepartum unit as well as the first Obstetric Emergency Department in the state of Alabama managed by our team of board certified OB/GYN Hospitalists. We collaborate with many disciplines including our Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians to care for a variety of patients along the obstetric spectrum from managing any complication or condition during pregnancy like preeclampsia and gestational diabetes to providing care and support to a mother while laboring and giving birth.
The L&D RN is skilled in caring for pregnant patients during labor, obstetrical emergencies and other obstetric conditions. In addition to assisting women throughout labor and the birthing process, the L&D RN is an active role in cesarean section deliveries as the patient’s circulating nurse as well as the scrub nurse that assists the physician with the birth of the infant and the repair of the mother. They provide incredible patient support, critical nursing care and comprehensive pregnancy and postpartum education.
