The Diabetes Educator identifies patient needs and priorities for education used on assessment. Patient population includes those from small children to the elderly. The educator plans, implements and evaluates all programs and services administered by the Diabetes Control Center. The educator coordinates the educational care between other professional disciplines as needed.

The Resource RN remains in good standing with Huntsville Hospital in accordance to set standards of maintaining an overall above average score on annual evaluations. Ability to teach and instruct as well as actively performs scrub techniques appropriate for various procedures. Monitoring skills require multi level documentation, recognition, interpretation with knowledge to treat patient accordingly. Proficient in operation and troubleshooting computer.
