Manages cardiac databases for the Quality Management Services (QMS) department: abstracts data and submits for assigned database within established timeframes.
Coordinates the management of the Huntsville Hospital Infection Control program. Investigates and monitors known or potential sources of suspected infections in order to determine source and ensure control. Knows standard methods and criteria for identifying Healthcare Associated infections. Provides related education to staff. Reviews sterilization and disinfection techniques and recommends changes as necessary.
Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating the continuing education (nursing and non-nursing) and continuing
medical education programs for Huntsville Hospital. Reviews approval processes of training requirements for other professional groups and determines the feasibility of facilitating such approvals. Maintains an awareness of associated expenses and potential revenue producing or cost saving opportunities within the programs. Maintains awareness of ABN, MASA, ACCME and other appropriate governing body requirements and incorporates them in the CE/CME
processes.
Responsible for providing quality training in the areas of AHA ACLS, PALS, and/or BLS Training for the Huntsville Hospital Training Center. Teaches under the current guidelines for cardiac pulmonary resuscitation outlined by the American Heart Association. Teaches students with the goal of information retention, and successful skill development of content outlined by the AHA. Provides training and support for employees and the community; as well as supporting the Training Center’s associated instructor network. Must hold current certifications at the Instructor, Instructor-Trainer or Education Sub-Committee member level for ACLS and/or PALS, with BLS Instructor status preferred. Supports management of the TC’s AHA Community Instructor community.

This position represents non patient care duties such as general cleaning and processing of ventilators, and other general equipment used by the department. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, stocking of supplies, inventorying and trending the use of medical gases, inspection of medical gas outlets as directed, and other duties as assigned.

Under the general supervision of the Director Payer Contracting and Analytics, the Sr. Revenue Cycle Analyst of Revenue Cycle Analytics will be manage and be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and achievement of the Analytic objectives of the department including, financial data analysis, charge capture, process improvement, project management, and staff education for specific service lines and supporting departments (revenue centers) throughout HH Health System. Additionally, the Sr. Revenue Cycle Analyst will serve as the point person for revenue and performance reporting requests from Administration, Department Leaders and key stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include interacting with Finance, Administration, Department Leadership, Revenue Cycle and Managed Care stakeholders, supporting and understanding clinical and billing processes, identifying and improving processes to allow capturing of all charges and billing for services being providing, educating and communicating with staff regarding processes, auditing and reporting outcomes of the processes, and utilizing all internal and external resources in order to accomplish and sustain improvements.
The Sr. Revenue Cycle Analyst is expected to independently lead projects and produce measureable sustained outcomes. Using national best practices, this position proactively implements and supports Health System financial goals and objectives.
Utilizes radiographic techniques to obtain diagnostic images.
The Clinical Laboratory Assistant (CLA) performs basic laboratory functions in all areas of the laboratory. The performance of these tasks is in accordance with all policies and procedures that are stated in current manuals and policy updates or communicated by a supervisor.
The Medical Technician, MLT, CLT is responsible for performing the laboratory procedures in at least three or more functional sections of the clinical laboratory in accordance with the policies and procedures that are in effect. The Key Areas of the laboratory are Blood Bank, Hematology, Coagulation, Immunology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and Microbiology. The technician maintains the instruments in his/her area, performs Quality Control procedures, Calibrations, reviews Quality Control and Calibration data to ensure accuracy, and aids in improving the performance of the laboratory. The technologist may well be expected to perform other functions not specified. There are other duties such as teaching, purchasing, inventory, writing procedures, etc. that could be logical assignments for this position depending on the area in which the tech excels.
