A Patient Access Clerk is a specialized health care professional who is responsible for obtaining and verifying patient demographic and insurance information to ensure proper billing of patient account as well as a means of contacting the patient in regards to their treatment and/or billing issues. Patient Access Clerks are the front line of Marshall Medical Centers and expected to be an exemplary model of customer service.

A registered nurse provides and coordinates total nursing care for patients maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting and pursuant to the objectives and policies of the Nursing Care Division and Medical Center policies and procedures.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a broad array of nursing tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider. The individual provides direct patient care for diverse patient populations that vary in gender, age, socioeconomic status, education, physical and mental abilities, locations, sexual lifestyle, and racial and ethnic background. The LPN implements technical nursing procedures according to established policies and procedures and plan of care, assists and reinforces routine patient education, and documents patient care appropriately. The LPN communicates and interacts with other team members to facilitate teamwork and delivery of quality care.
The Patient Care Aide works under the direction of the RN/LPN. The responsibilities of the Patient Care Aide include providing direct patient care and maintaining patient care standards. The Patient Care Aide must exhibit the ability to work with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds; to organize, set priorities and manage multiple priorities, and to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical/electronic systems, circuits and equipment.
Analyzes, documents, designs, and programs Clinical Information System applications, provides enhancements and maintains current applications to meet the needs of clinicians in providing quality, cost effective care.
Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Manager, coordinates clerical and nursing home functions, to include scheduling and collecting Nursing and Group Homes, coordinating offsite collection site staffing, computer registration, order entry, printing, charting, mailing, faxing and filing of reports, accessioning of Pathology/Cytology specimens, answering telephone. Duties also include assuring accurate charges and billing information, employee competency testing, procedure manual reviews/updates, clerical staff training, assuring that all charts are submitted to coder in a timely manner and reviewing nursing home monthly bills for accuracy. Maintains established levels of laboratory supplies and equipment. Assists in establishing and maintaining a system of records for all equipment and supplies. Maintains a clean and safe environment in the department. Acts as a liaison between laboratory and materials management department. Maintains knowledge of current resources available to the department. Assists with other duties as assigned.
Provides medical nutrition care to patients through nutrition assessment, diagnosis, intervention and education utilizing evidence based guidelines. Develops care plans with appropriate follow-up and reassessment of intervention. Manages the total nutritional care of patients receiving Enteral Nutrition. Assess and diagnose patients for malnutrition.

The Registered Nurse (RN) organizes and coordinates delivery of nursing care to groups of patients in compliance with hospital and departmental policies, protocols and procedures. Applies principles of accounting to both analyze pay, fringe benefits and other financial information to ensure accurate pay to employees and assist with the completion and reporting of payroll information, including but not limited to payroll tax returns, to applicable regulatory agencies under the supervision of departmental leadership.

Responsible for processing invoices and check requests for payments from source documents. Responsible for ensuring that proper documentation exists to support invoice and payment. Responsible for entering invoices and matching to Purchase Orders for goods that have been received, working with Purchasing Buyers, Receiving and/or Vendor to resolve issues in order to ensure invoices are processed. Maintains contacts with vendors and other departments to resolve accounts payable issues. Works vendor statements monthly. Ensures invoices that are not under PO have appropriate approval and documentation that support payment.
Performs a variety of patient food service, dishroom, and sanitation duties.
Directly responsible for all operations of food service at assigned Food and Nutrition Department to include all food prep, storage, delivery, lounges, dining areas, sanitation, ordering, scheduling, patient meals, and call center operations. Responsible for coaching and training of employees including disciplinary action. Must be Servesafe certified and attend on going education classes at Corporate University.
