The Vital Statistics Technician:
- Complete or assist with birth certificates and/or required data abstraction for entry into the State of Alabama database system EVERS.
- Complete or assist with death certificates in State of Alabama EDR for Huntsville Hospital deaths according to Center for Vital Statistics guidelines.
- Other medical record departmental duties as assigned
Accountable for 24hr, day to day operations of the department which includes effective management of clinical systems, human resources, financial management, and environmental management. Promotes collaborative practice with other departments, physicians, schools of nursing, and exhibits the ability to work with others to find solutions to difficult human, technical, or administrative problems. Must be able to adjust to and lead others through a rapidly changing environment.

The Quality Outcomes and Leapfrog Coordinator Essential Functions are comprised of 3 domains:
Quality Outcomes Monitoring, Leapfrog Coordination and Performance Improvement Initiatives.
