The Student Nurse works under the direction of the RN/LPN. The responsibilities of the Student Nurse include providing direct patient care and maintaining patient care standards.  The Student Nurse must exhibit the ability to work with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds; to organize, set priorities and manage multiple priorities, and to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care though assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs.
