Pediatric speech therapist position working with a dynamic multidisciplinary team, in outpatient and inpatient settings. With experience, opportunities may be available in specialty areas, including NICU. Seeking a team-player with excellent communication skills, strong evidence-based practice, caring attitude towards all patients and their families, and effective time management / organization skills.
Provides assistance to Imaging Technologists and provides patient transport to and from and/or between nursing units and ancillary departments.
Acts as collaborative member of the clinical team in providing continuity of and quality patient care. Initiates patient care, gathers vital signs, prepares patient and exam room for procedures, and collects specimens. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit is an 11 bed ICU that cares for critically ill children at Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children. The PICU is staffed by RNs, NPs, and Pediatric Intensivist who work closely together with a supportive multidisciplinary care team to provide acute care to children from 0-18 years of age. We offer a progressive educational program to train staff in pediatric critical care to include monthly inservices from our physicians.
