The Registered Nurse shall be responsible for assessing, planning, supervising and evaluating the nursing care of patients and for correlating the nursing process, the medical plan of care and policies under the direction of the clinic practitioner.
The environmental services aide, primarily cleans, dusts, polishes furniture, disinfects hospital facilities, including patient and non-patient care areas, removes refuse materials and hazardous waste, moves furniture and equipment while restocking supplies within all facilities of the hospital.

Also directs and guides patient care activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Cooperates and communicates well with all health team members to maintain the highest quality patient care. Additional duties required are reading telemetry, working in a fast-paced environment, providing guidance regarding exercise regimens, holding an ACLS certification, and evaluating patients for a Cardiac Rehab program. Cardiac Rehab staff must also know how to work within the EMR for that program.
