Performs ultrasonography procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Uses independent judgment ingenuity and initiative to perform state-of-the art diagnostic ultrasound procedures.
Manages multiple laboratory sections with responsibility for quality and quantity of work, procedures and methods, costs and personnel. Responsible for selection of proper staff and training and competency. Responsibilities may include several lab disciplines and/or lab programs and/or the assistance and support of HHS affiliate labs. Responsibilities include all accreditation requirements.
The Medical Assistant (MA) delivers direct patient care in the clinical setting beginning with escorting the patient to the examination room, performing any treatments and procedures required by the physician, and ending with the discharging of the patient. He/she recognizes, reports, and documents clinical observations. He/she is responisble for coding the procedures correctly.
The nurse practitioner/physician assistant provides comprehensive direct patient care and scholarly practice including obtaining comprehensive patient histories, performing complete physical examination, ordering and performing diagnostic testing and screening, diagnosing illness, prescribing both pharmacological and other treatments for patients, and providing health maintenance and promotion interventions such as patient and family education and counseling. Also, the NP assumes accountability for indirect care responsibilities, which support patient care including staff and student education, clinical research, program development, and quality improvement.
The phlebotomist works under the immediate supervision of the Medical Technologist/Technician, is primarily responsible for the phlebotomy procedures, including veni-punctures, finger sticks, heel sticks, bleeding times, urine collection and drug screen collections. The phlebotomist is also responsible for processing in the reference lab reports and for sorting/charting various lab results. The phlebotomist is expected to assist in certain clerical duties, such as running daily reports, assisting with the out-patients, taking orders off of the computer, putting up supplies and cleaning their trays and any work area.

Initiates patient care, gathers vital signs, prepares patient and exam room for procedures, and collects specimens. Provides patient education and support as needed to assist physician, patient and family. Assists coworkers and draws blood as needed.

Provides respiratory therapeutic and diagnostic care to patients according to established standards and practices in critical care, general care, and emergency care areas. Performs electrocardiogram and other related examinations for patients as directed. Reports to the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services.
The Housekeeper will be responsible for providing a clean, pleasant, well-stocked environment for patients, visitors, and personnel. Daily cleaning of patient rooms, check-out cleaning of patient rooms, cleaning non-patient nurse areas, clinical areas, service areas, and public service areas.
The Registered Nurse (RN) organizes and coordinates delivery of nursing care to groups of patients in compliance with hospital and departmental policies, protocols and procedures. He/she provides direct patient care by monitoring physiological and behavioral status, evaluating patient progress and the effectiveness of interventions, and by performing treatments and procedures. Assigns diagnostic and procedure codes to patient records. Enters abstract data in computer and
generates reports as required.
