A Patient Access Clerk is a specialized health care professional who is responsible for obtaining and verifying patient demographic and insurance information to ensure proper billing of patient account as well as a means of contacting the patient in regards to their treatment and/or billing issues.  Patient Access Clerks are the front line of Marshall Medical Centers and expected to be an exemplary model of customer service. Under the direct supervision of licensed nurses, the Emergency Room Attendant performs various duties to assist in the care of patients in accordance with established policies and procedures. These duties include, but are not limited to, obtaining EKG's, venipuncture, ambulation assistance, toilet assistance, feeding, measuring vital signs and blood glucose, and transporting.

Provides assistance to Imaging Technologists and provides patient transport to and from and/or between nursing units and ancillary departments.

The RN Case Manager is to support the physician and interdisciplinary team in facilitating patient care, with the underlying objective of enhancing the quality of clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction while managing the cost of care and providing timely and accurate information to payers. This role integrates and coordinates Utilization management, care coordination and discharge planning functions. The Case Manager is accountable for a designated patient caseload and plans effectively in order to meet patient needs, manage the length of stay, and promote efficient use of resources.
