Initiates patient care assessments, gathers vital signs, prepares patient and exam room for procedures, draw up meds and give injections. Provide patient educations and support as needed to assist providers, patients and family. Answer and return phone calls pertaining to patients medical/clinical questions and concerns.
Serves as patrol officer in the hospital facilities. Responsible for observing activities in the Helen Keller Hospital Medical District using patrol techniques and responding to security incidents as required. May be called upon to greet or transport patients.

Responsibilities include knowledge of all x-ray equipment, proper patient positioning, exposures, digital image management for interpretations, implementation of patient charges, and assists physician as required. May perform a variety of functions which impact the medication reconciliation process and patient care. Seeks assistance/clarification from a pharmacist with any questions or issues that may arise.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a broad array of nursing tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider. The individual provides direct patient care for diverse patient populations that vary in gender, age, socioeconomic status, education, physical and mental abilities, locations, sexual lifestyle, and racial and ethnic background. The LPN implements technical nursing procedures according to established policies and procedures and plan of care, assists and reinforces routine patient education, and documents patient care appropriately. The Clinical Charge Nurse identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning and delegating care based on patient needs. Executes therapeutic physician orders and therapeutic nursing interventions. Evaluates the patient's response to care and the attainment of or progress towards patient outcomes. Coordinates care between other professional disciplines as needed. Helps patients and/or staff identify problems and explores with them the alternative choices and outcomes.
