The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a broad array of nursing tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider. Acts as collaborative member of the clinical team in providing continuity of and quality patient care. Responsible for registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and answering of telephone. Responsible for maintaining a line of communication between individuals in the waiting rooms and in the clinical areas within Emergency Services. Provide support and crisis management in trauma situations for families and patients. The Scheduler for the GI office is responsible for scheduling all patient activities, including but not limited to, physician appointments, treatments, outpatient endoscopies, procedures, documenting H&P, and discerning appropriate prep for each patient and procedure.
