Job Summary:  The IS Service Desk Coordinator assists in supporting technical components of the various information systems and telecommunications systems used at DMH.  This includes facilitating the completion of work order tasks for repair and implementation of information systems and communications equipment, as well as providing first line of support for analysis, initial troubleshooting, as well as resolution of selected Level I technical issues, and if necessary, escalating issues to the appropriate next level of support for resolution.  

The Scrub Assistant, under the guidance of the RN provides services to surgical patients, maintaining an aseptic environment. The scrub assistant assists in the transporting of patients.

The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN evaluates the patient's response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.

Prepares patients for surgery by performing diagnostic test required by the surgeon and anesthesiologist, documenting past medical/surgical history and current home medications and reporting abnormal results to the appropriate person (surgeon, nurse practitioner, anesthesia evaluator, etc.).  The pre-admission RN also prepares patients for the cath lab and other hospital admissions.
