The Occupational Therapist assumes primary responsibility for evaluation of the patient, planning, implementing, supervising, reevaluating and changing the treatment program. The therapist maintains adequate records and documents the appropriate progress reports and patient education. The therapist supervises support staff and students as assigned.

The advanced practice provider provides comprehensive direct patient care and scholarly practice including obtaining comprehensive patient histories, performing complete physical examination, ordering and performing diagnostic testing and screening, diagnosing illness, prescribing both pharmacological and other treatments for patients, and providing health maintenance and promotion interventions such as patient and family education and counseling. Also, the APP assumes accountability for indirect care responsibilities, which support patient care including staff and student education, clinical research, program development, and quality improvement.
Performs internal audits of hospital accounts; processes routine insurance audits; audits accounts as requested by patients; performs audits of accounts to separate medical charges from elective cosmetic surgery procedures; manual charge entry/credit for Pharmacy discrepancies; charge correction and billing requirements for Medical Oncology accounts, provide written appeals for RAC and non-RAC denials.
Performs clinical nuclear medicine testing including general studies, cardiac studies, and the computer interactions associated with these studies.
Contributes to the development of policies, procedures, standards and objectives, and quality assurance needs for the provision of Nuclear Medicine services
Performs clinical imaging procedures to include, CT, MRI, or General X-ray with proficiency at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Uses independent judgment and initiative to perform state-ofthe-art imaging. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
This position requires a working knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment for a broad range of surgical procedures. Application of sterile technique principles is imperative.

Under the direction of the physicians and clinical staff the Health Care Assistant(HCA) supports the assigned unit by providing technical patient care services and support related to patients on the nursing unit.
