Performs ultrasonography procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.  Uses independent judgment ingenuity and initiative to perform state-of-the art diagnostic ultrasound procedures.

Provides assistance to Imaging Technologists and provides patient transport to and from and/or between nursing units and ancillary departments.

  Performs clerical, secretarial duties related to the assigned unit under the direction of the unit director. The RN Case Manager is to support the physician and interdisciplinary team in facilitating patient care, with the underlying objective of enhancing the quality of clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction while managing the cost of care and providing timely and accurate information to payers. This role integrates and coordinates Utilization management, care coordination and discharge planning functions. The Case Manager is accountable for a designated patient caseload and plans effectively in order to meet patient needs, manage the length of stay, and promote efficient use of resources.

The Denial and Appeals Case Manager is responsible for overall management of clinical denials by conducting a comprehensive analytic review of clinical documentation to determine if an appeal is warranted. Where warranted, the Clinical Appeals specialist will write sound, compelling factual arguments to support the hospital stay.  This individual is a liaison and point of contact to/for outside payers for denial and appeal inquiries.

The monitoring tech is responsible for the continuous observation of the patient's cardiac rhythm. Duties include application and removal of electrodes, notification of floor staff of changes in rhythms and all life threatening dysrhythnmias

Assists the clinical pharmacists in providing an accurate and timely medication distribution system.
