Under the direction of the Radiology Director, and a radiologist, performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment. Responsibilities include knowledge of all Mammography/Radiology procedures. Will be available for emergency on-call procedures as required, or set forth. Recognizes the need for control/assessment of pain for patients and helps to prevent or reduce patient pain levels when possible.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required
Education/Licensure: Graduate of formal AMA approved Radiologic technology program. The ARRT Registry required. Mammography certification is required.
Experience: No previous experience required, but preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities: BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
