Overview

Job Summary

Performs a variety of patient care activities to assist physicians and other personnel

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required

Education:  High School Graduate or GED

 

Experience:  Six months experience as Non-Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred;  will consider other medical experience or on-the-job training

 

Additional Skills/Abilities:  BLS required;  ACLS preferred;  Requires knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe work environment.  Ability to perform effectively in emergency and stressful situations.  Ability to read, understand and respond to detailed oral and written instructions.  Ability to communicate clearly.  Ability to work independently.  Knowledge of the organization’s policies and procedures.  Ability in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, physicians and public.  Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.  Knowledge of medical terminology to communicate with medical staff regarding test procedures and results.  Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance.  Upholds effective work habits including, but not limited to, regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability and promptness.
