Overview

The Orthopaedic Center is looking for a highly motivated Coding Specialist. This opening is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week. The Coding Specialist is responsible for accurately applying coding guidelines and efficiently coding approximately 350–400 procedures per day. This position requires strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and staff, as well as proficiency in the organization’s EPM/EHR computer system and related software applications. Responsibilities also include processing claims, researching patient accounts, and assisting with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education required: HS/GED

Lisence/Certification: CPC or AHIMA

Experience: 

  • Knowledge of CPT Codes andICD-10 Codes
  • Coding experience preferred
  • One year of experience in a health care organization preferred
