Overview

Acts as a collaborative member of the clinic team in providing continuity of and quality patient care. Assesses and provides appropriate intervention for the problems that patients and families experience related to their health care and treatment to include teaching, counseling and supporting as needed to assist provider, patient and family. Also acts as lead clinician in assistance to provider and/or as dedicated telephone assistant and also provides clinical oversight for the clinical employees of the clinic.

Qualifications

Education required: High School Diploma or GED required.

License: Must be a Certified Medical Assistant.

Experience: Minimum of two years clinic experience in primary care or pediatric care setting, Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Additional skills: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly, Must be able to use computer terminal, fax machine, and copy machine, Must be detailed oriented and able to work well in a team environment, Knowledge of GPMS/EMR is preferred.
