Overview

Serves as a member of the Financial Services team by providing information and service to employees and managers. Assists the Mgr Payroll with the management and administration of Huntsville Hospital’s payroll processing and payroll staff.

Qualifications

Education required: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field from an accredited school or university

Experience: Require a minimum of two (2) years experience in Human Resources and/or payroll processing. Prior experience in Kronos or Lawson desired.

Additional skills/abilities: 

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with employees and managers regarding sensitive and often complicated issues
  • Oral presentation skills required
  • Must be able to set priorities, coordinate and organize multiple tasks and maintain control of work flow
  • Must be proficient in routine mathematical computations and analyses
  • The ability to read, comprehend and prepare moderately complex written material, such as government regulations or policies and procedures is required
  • Must be able to work without close supervision and to exercise independent judgment
  • Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer, word processing, spreadsheet software and e-mail
