Responsible for OR Manager for the operation and administration of the Service Specialty, including effective management of clinical systems, human resources, finances and the work environment. Promotes multi-disciplinary collaborative practice with physicians and other departments, performs in-depth patient needs, develops and monitors patient care standards, and promotes the overall goals and objectives of the departments mission.
Education required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Education preferred: BSN preferred
License, certification and/or registration: Current Alabama or multistate nursing license required. BLS certification required (must be completed within the Provisionary Period). ACLS certification required (must be completed within the provisional period, this requirement is based upon the hospitals availability of ACLS classes and should be done as soon as possible if not done within Provisionary Period). PALS certification preferred.
Experience: Previous Circulating experience strongly preferred. Previous nursing experience in operating room setting with successful demonstration of supervisory and/or management ability required. Recent hospital RN experience in which leadership, interpersonal and problem solving have been demonstrated. Knowledgeable of clinical practice of the specialty.
Additional skills/abilities: Must posses excellent communication and critical thinking skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly
