Overview

The Orthopaedic Center is looking for a highly motivated Precertification Specialist/Registration Floater for our Orthotic and Prosthetic department in Huntsville, AL. This opening is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week. The Precertification Specialist/Registration Floater will Contact insurance companies to verify benefits and authorization requirements for orthotic and prosthetic devices. Communicate benefit information to clinicians and ensure they are up to date on patient coverage. Assist with phone calls and messages, as well as notify patients of their insurance coverage for prescribed items. Schedule patient appointments, collect deposits, verify insurance, assist with check-in and check-out duties, review and prepare patient charts, and any other tasks as assigned. The Precertification Specialist/Registration Floater must be able to communicate effectively with patients, DOC physicians and staff.

Qualifications

Education required: HS/GED

Experience: Coding, AR, Insurance reimbursement knowledge required. Three years insurance and/or billing experience, and one year of healthcare experience preferred.
