Assists with the implementation of a comprehensive planned program of activities designed to meet the special needs of the geriatric, disabled and convalescent residents in the skilled nursing, extended-care facility.
Assists in planning, organizing and implementing the activity program for residents individually and for groups of residents with similar interests, with specific emphasis on an activity program designed to meet the needs of room-bound residents. Assists in arranging activities such as parties, presentation, educational programs, field trips, and other activities of interest to residents in an effort to meet social, emotional, intellectual, and rehabilitative needs of residents. Assists transporting resident to activities, doctor’s appointments, etc. as requested.
