Overview

The following statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements, which may be inherent in the position.

 

A registered nurse who works with the System Director of Surgical Services to provide overall strategic and operational leadership for the Department of Surgery.

This position is over preadmission testing, PRE/POST OP, OR, PACU and Outpatient infusions.
They will be reporting to the System Director of Surgical Services.

 

Qualifications

Education / Licensure / Professional Qualifications:

 

·          Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current licensure by the Alabama State Board of Nursing.

·          Minimum of 4 years RN experience, preferably in the surgical/Perioperative area.  Management experience preferred.  

·          Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate others.

·          Excellent physician relationship skills and the ability to work collegially with other professionals to meet common objectives.

·          Experience in the process of creating operational excellence in an organization.
