Reporting to the Director of Medical/Emergency Services, this position is accountable for continuing management & leadership responsibilities. Responsibilities include meeting regulatory and national standards, employee development, conflict resolution, maintaining professional standards for patient care delivery. The ED Clinical Manager is responsible for supporting Crestwood’s mission statement and plan for the provision of patient care. The incumbent will support the hospital leadership in a highly diverse range of issues such as providing clinical expertise for patient care, maintaining regulatory standards for EMTALA, JACHO, or CMS, and ensuring appropriate leadership with employee relations, injuries and job performance.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing,
BS in nursing preferred
Experience:
5 years experience in ED and should be a seasoned professional with at least five years of commensurate experience in a leadership role in a hospital environment. Must possess typing skills and knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and personal computers. Special skills that are required include organizational assessment, highly developed leadership, knowledge of staff ratios for patient acuity, interpersonal skills, and quantitative analytical abilities. Must possess clinical and process skills that apply to the clinical needs of the hospital. Must demonstrate ability to lead, supervise, and manage a diverse group of employees.
Licenses/Certificates:
RN licensure in the state of Alabama; Current BLS and Current ACLS
Current Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification or obtain within 90 days of hire
