Under the supervision of the Center for Sleep Disorders Director, the Polysomnographic Technologist performs equipment and patient calibration, set-up, performance/documentation/troubleshooting of Polysomnographic recordings, tabulation and processing of test information and sleep laboratory logistical operations; Performs oversight, education and training of PSG and student technologists during the work shift; Participates in performance improvement program and new program development; Assumes responsibility and accountability for patients in the department and provides care to these patients through assessment, observation and documentation. Assumes responsibility and accountability for all techs in the department; assumes responsibility and accountability for patients and provides care to these patients through assessment, observation and documentation.
Education: A high school diploma or GED; Successfully completed education in Polysomnography with certification
Experience: One year of experience required
Licenses/Certificates: Current BLS ; Registration in Polysomnagrphy required
