Performs routine scanning procedures for the MRI unit. Ensures patient safety and comfort during procedures. Ensures a high quality of images produced. Responsible for availability and sterility of supplies used for assigned area. May be cross-trained in other specialties. The technologist may be part of the on call pool.
**The MRI Technologist may be required to cover inpatient or outpatient areas to include offsite diagnostic locations
Education: A high school diploma or GED; Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Science. Must obtain advanced registry within one year from date of hire.
Experience: 2 year’s experience in MRI required
Licenses/Certificates: Must be ARRT registered. BCLS required
