Posting is a section of the Patient Accounting Department. Patient Accounting is a Department of the Patient Financial Services Division.
Responsible for Posting of all cash for Huntsville Hospital, Helen Keller Hospital, Red Bay Hospital, Decatur Hospital and Athens-Limestone Hospital. This requires that the manager maintain efficient operations by effectively utilizing all staff and technology resources. Overall operations of these functions will require the Manager to maintain appropriate applicable knowledge of posting standards and requirements. Continuously monitor and educate the staff to meet standards and goals. Working with the Revenue Cycle Manager to set long-term and short-term goals and monitor progress of electric posting, manual posting, lock box cash and credit card payments. Hiring and developing appropriate staff. Performs duties in a manner to support Patient Financial Services vision.

The primary job functions of this position should be accomplished working to the achieve the goal of supporting the vision of Huntsville Hospital by ensuring all clinical services provided by the organization are appropriately compensated by third party payors, patients, or charity programs.
