Overview

Inspect, install, repair, and replace pipe fittings and plumbing fixtures. Maintain water systems and drainage systems for DeKalb Regional Medical Center.

Responsibilities

• Assist/perform other maintenance duties, not plumbing specific, as requested

• Perform major and minor plumbing repairs.
• Install/replace sinks, toilets, showers and tubs.
• Repair any holes in walls, floors, and ceilings that are cut for pipe work.
• Completion of work orders, PM’s and other records in a timely manner.
• Requisition materials as needed.

• Respond to fire and other emergencies.

Qualifications

Education Required
• High School Diploma or GED required.

 

Education Preferred
• Technical training in health care environment on equipment and utilities preferred.

 

License, Certification and/or Registration
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record.

 

Experience
• Three years experience in plumbing repair and installation required.
