Overview

Our Nurse Recruiter is responsible for attracting, sourcing and efficiently hiring qualified, competent and experienced registered nurses and new graduate nurses . This position develops and implements a comprehensive nursing recruitment plan, utilizing both traditional and creative recruitment strategies, to attract top-talent to ensure current and future staffing needs are achieved. This work is done in collaboration with Human Resources leadership, Nursing leadership and in alignment with the organizations strategic plans.  In addition, the Nurse Recruiter integrates knowledge of human resource management with expertise in nursing practices and healthcare trends, to design and manage recruitment initiatives. Specific responsibilities include sourcing, screening, interviewing, creating and extending job offers, developing recruitment plans and building relationships with local and regional colleges and universities. Attends career events and presents to nursing classes to share opportunities within our health system.  

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree required.  

Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.  

 

Experience

Five years experience in nursing field and/or nurse recruitment preferred  

 

Additional Skills/Abilities

  • Adept at working with data, software solutions and online platforms. 
  • Skilled in managing candidate pipelines through an applicant tracking systems and CRM tools. 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.    
  • Ability to communicate effectively over the phone, in person and via written communications.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast paced environment with a high volume of data.
  • Confident and effective public speaker. 
  • Ability to develop, organize and implement plans or programs with minimum supervision.
