The Speech Pathologist is responsible for evaluation and treatment of inpatient and outpatients with a variety of diagnoses. Works with patients and their families, the Speech Pathologist utilizes various activities and exercises to aide patients with disorders in production, reception, and perception of speech and language and to help these persons to reach their greatest physical and vocational potential. The speech pathologist also evaluates and treats swallowing dysfunction, including modified barium swallow studies.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required
Education:Current certification or eligible for Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology.
