Overview

Manages organizes and prioritizes project and work load. Maintain, upgrade and manage server operation systems, software, hardware and servers. Install and configure software and hardware. Manage network servers and technology tools. Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements, troubleshoots issues and outages, ensure security through access controls, and backups, upgrade systems with new releases and models, develop expertise to train staff on new technologies, maintain internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies. Mentor junior staff members and train them in work practices and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Extensive knowledge VMware, Windows, network principles and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of data backup/recovery systems and methodologies.
  • Ability to create automations scripts for any number of system related activities, upgrades, or changes to individual or enterprise wide systems and computers.
  • Knowledge using and maintaining various operating systems and platforms (Windows, Linux).
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in advanced network system design and access technologies.
  • Ability to analyze, coordinate, and manage multiple technologies and concepts effectively.
  • Outstanding organizational, technical and managerial skills to creatively formulate, interpret, and integrate a large number of complex issues and problems.
  • Expertise with local area networking (LAN) and wide area networking (WAN) environments.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Ability to analyze, coordinate, and manage multiple technologies, resources and concepts effectively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred in computer science or related field.
  • Extensive experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience working with multiple domains with mission critical systems.
  • MCSE or similar certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate) required with 3-5 years’ experience in a Microsoft multi-server networking environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience as a System Administrator, Server administrator or similar role.
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management.
  • xperienced in project management and establishing protocols for system development.
