Performs a variety of secretarial duties and clerical support services for the efficient operation of the department. Personnel records, scheduling appointments and interviews, reference checks, filing, typing and computer skills. Processing of new employees, scheduling meetings.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Technical Aspects:
· 1. Prepares statistical data and monthly reports as required with accuracy and completeness.
· 2. Documentation of information provided by Department Directors and employees.
· 3. Makes follow-up calls when applicable.
· 4. Schedules meetings and appointments appropriately.
· 5. Maintains record keeping and filing system in accordance with departmental system.
· 6. Classifies, sorts and files correspondence records and other documents accordingly.
· 7. Performs a wide variety of typing assignments including correspondence, reports, forms, etc.
which may involve difficult technical language or complicated formats, which are often confidential
in nature.
· 8. Completes all required Annual Competencies.
· Customer Relations/Patient Satisfaction:
· 1. Courteously answers the telephone and directs call appropriately.
· 2. Addresses complaints regarding the Personnel of the Medical Center.
· 3. Maintains employee and patient privacy and confidentiality of information.
· 4. Attends to special needs of all customers.
· 5. Provides explanations/information about hospital and care/service provided within scope of
particular areas.
· Team Work
· 1. Works in conjunction with appropriate staff to implement Personnel recommendations.
· 2. Fosters mature professional relationships with fellow employees in a courteous, friendly
manner.
· 3. Participates as team member by willingly performing additional assignments not directly related
to daily assignments when work load requires or requested by Supervisor.
· 4. Demonstrates flexibility and openness to change.

EDUCATION:
· High School Graduate or Equivalent preferred.
· 2 years of college preferred or computer knowledge and experience in Windows
· Program.
· EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to address complaints regarding Personnel of the Medical Center.
