Overview

 

Job Summary:  Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of duties for day-to-day operations for the Mobile Medical Unit including reception, registration, and driving Mobile Medical Unit to and from destination for the day and preparing it for events and operation.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  1. Responsible for driving the MMU from place of storage/parking to service areas, complying with all motor vehicle codes and regulations. Drives safely and abides by all traffic laws, signs and regulations.
  2. Prepares and sets up the vehicle for services as well as break down at the end of session.
  3. Note any maintenance issues for the vehicle and report them to management.
  4. Maintains log of routine inspections of vehicle, daily, weekly and monthly.
  5. Maintains cleanliness of the vehicle, including interior and exterior.
  6. Turns on and off all necessary equipment (water, WIFI, generators, etc.) at the beginning and end of each day.
  7. Works with city and county municipalities and other entities to secure all necessary traffic & parking permits for the MMU as appropriate.
  8. Participates in activities and duties related to MMU service, including reception, registration and other duties as assigned.
  9. Assists with internal and external special events as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:

Education: High School Diploma/GED; valid driver’s license. Good interpersonal skills. The ability to deal effectively with other employees and the public.

 

Experience: 5 years in public service or community outreach and experience with driving and vehicle maintenance.
