Overview

Plans, organizes, supervises, and coordinates functions and activities of Environmental Services. Inspects and evaluates the facilities physical conditions. Maintain the facilities environment in a sanitary, attractive and orderly condition and comply with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs individual staffing assignments; flexes down on labor hours as necessary.
• Maintains labor hours in accordance with departmental budget.
• Supervises and coordinates activities of your department.
• Provide appropriate directions and guidance to staff.
• Completes employee job performance evaluations in a timely manner.
• Delegates responsibilities to designated staff.
• Assists in the departmental Total Quality Management Plan.
• Actively communicates departmental needs and concerns to the Director, Support Services.
• Communicates with nursing and other hospital personnel to facilitate procedures as needed.
• Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Represents oneself, department, and hospital in a positive manner.

• Perform other duties as required.
• Computer Skills.

Qualifications

Education Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

 

Experience: Previous supervisory experience preferred.

 

Additional Skills/Abilities: Have good leadership and organizational skills. Good written and verbal communication.
