Overview

The Wellness RN provides on-site nursing assessment, health coaching, immunizations, health screenings and educational classes for clients.

Responsibilities

·         Demonstrates competency in providing immunizations, performing phlebotomy, labeling and spinning tubes, performing blood pressure and heart rate,              pulmonary function testing, height/weight measurement, body fat analysis, vision screening, hearing screening and OSHA hearing interview.

·         Provides quality wellness education classes.

·         Provides health counseling and individual education to clients.

Qualifications

Education Required

·         Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing required.

Education Preferred

·         BSN Preferred, LPN Accepted.

License, Certification and/or Registration

·         Current Alabama Nursing Licensure required.

·         Must have a current valid Alabama’s driver’s license.

·         CPR Certification required.

Experience

·         Previous experience in health promotion and wellness preferred.

Additional Skills/Abilities

·         Ability to perform various clinical tests including phlebotomy, blood pressure/pulse, spirometry, vision testing, hearing testing, height and weight measurements, body composition analysis, and hip/waist ratio preferred.

·         Must be able to provide on-site immunizations.

·         Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.

·         Basic computer skills required.
